After announcing a duel release of both 2017 Fēn Táo and 2017 Aurelian Lure this Friday, Jester King Brewery had at least one more trick up its sleeve.
That is because the Austin-based brewery will also be releasing 2017 Snörkel, a 4.3 percent ABV farmhouse ale brewed with alderwood smoked sea salt and blue oyster mushrooms sourced from Fallen Oak Mushrooms in Austin. The ale debuted in 2014, and this year’s incarnation was brewed on May 31 before being packaged in July 17 and 18.
According to a post on Jester King’s website, 2017 Snörkel will be packaged in 750ml bottles ($13) and will have no bottle limit when they go on sale on Sept. 15. In addition, there will be approximately 6,000 bottles available for sale, with some of those bottles will be sent to retailers in Jester King’s distribution network.
