A new beer from Jester King Brewery has been aged in barrels that the brewery has never used before.

Moderne Dansk is a 7.1 percent ABV wild ale aged in Danish cherry wine barrels for a year before refermented it with Stevnsbær cherry juice. According to a post on the Austin-based brewery’s website, the new creation was inspired by Frederiksdal Kirsebærvin in Harpelunde, Denmark, a winery that specializes in producing wines made from Danish Stevnsbær cherries.

According to a post on Jester King’s website, Moderne Dansk is scheduled to be released exclusively at the brewery on June 7 packaged in 375ml bottles ($20) with a four bottle per person per day purchase limit and approximately 2,900 bottles available.
