This time, it is Nocturn Chrysalis’ turn.
Jester King Brewery has opened an online lottery for 1.5 liter bottles of 2017 Nocturn Chrysalis, a 6.1 percent ABV barrel-aged wild beer that has been refermented with Marion blackberries.
Customers are able to enter their names once at this link for the chance to be able to purchase one of the bottles, and the lottery will end tomorrow at 8 p.m. CST. Winners will be notified by Dec. 1 at 10 p.m. CST, and will have until Dec. 8 at 4 p.m. CST to pay for the bottle via a link that will be sent via email. Finally, winners will have to pick up their bottles during the brewery’s regular business hours by Dec. 24, or the purchase price will be refunded and the bottle will be sold to another person.
The lottery system was announced in July after 150 1.5 liter bottles of Atrial Rubicite were sold for the first time on a first come, first serve basis, with 50 bottles each released on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Jester King asked customers to not show up at the brewery until after sunrise, but there were reports and social media posts indicating that people were on the property as early as 2:00 a.m. on each of the days the bottles were being sold. The brewery then released 170 magnum bottles of its 2017 分 桃—pronounced Fēn Táo—earlier this month.
According to Jester King, there are 175 1.5 liter magnums of 2017 Nocturn Chrysalis available priced at $75 each, and there will be no proxies allowed.
