This month, Jester King Brewery is commemorating one of its most popular beers at an event that bears its name, but it is not being held in Texas.

Instead, the 1st Annual SPON Day will be taking place on June 23 in Elkader, Iowa, home of Schera’s Algerian-American restaurant, where the event is being held. Billed as a “celebration of our 100 percent spontaneously fermented beers, as well our farmhouse ales from the Texas hill country,” attendees of SPON Day will feature close to 15 different Jester King beers, including five different SPON variants:

  • 2017 SPON Three Year Blend (Blend 5)
  • 2017 SPON Blueberry & Pitaya
  • 2017 SPON Peach & Apricot
  • 2017 SPON Syrah & Sangiovese
  • 2016 SPON Albariño & Blanc du Bois
  • 2016 Bière de Lenoir
  • Grim Harvest
  • Song of Binding
  • Part & Parcel
  • Figlet
  • 2017 Vague Recollection
  • Saison Américaine
  • Aurelian Lure
  • Colonel Toby

According to a website detailing the event, each ticket is priced at $100 each and includes:

  • Nine 3.5-ounce pours of Jester King beers
  • Custom branded SPON Day glass
  • Custom branded SPON Day t-shirt
  • 750ml bottle of Jester King Le Petite Prince
  • Food during the event

In addition, there will be a number of other Jester King beers on tap that will be available to purchase separately as well as an option to purchase Designated Driver tickets for $20 each. There is a six ticket per person purchase limit and tickets are transferable.
