Jester King Brewery and The Masonry have joined forces on Meowzah!, a 4.6 percent ABV “Best Bitter Farmhouse Ale” brewed with pale and amber malts from Leander, Texas-based Backlands Malt, British hops, a mixed culture of brewer’s yeast and native yeast and bacteria. The ale was brewed at The Masonry in Seattle to celebrate that brewery’s fifth anniversary and was bottled in May.

“Low alcohol and bitter isn’t the most commercially appealing combination in a beer world that seems to increasingly crave extreme flavors,” reads a post on Jester King’s Facebook page. “But it’s great for getting together and enjoying time with friends.”

According to Jester King, Meowzah! will be packaged in 750ml bottles ($13) and will have no purchase limit when it is released on Aug. 17 with about 2,500 bottles available. In addition, The Masonry will be releasing bottles of its own during its 5th anniversary party in Seattle on Aug. 19.
