A new collaboration between Jester King Brewery and Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery being released tomorrow celebrates the absence of predictability.
Final Entropy is a 5.3 percent ABV “kölsch inspired farmhouse beer” that is brewed with German malted barley as well as Fuggles and Saaz hops. The ale was brewed at Austin-based Jester King on Nov. 21, 2016 and packaged on Jan 3.
“For those who’ve been following us throughout the years, you’ve probably noticed how in addition to making barrel aged sour beers inspired by breweries like Jolly Pumpkin, fruit refermentations inspired by breweries like De Ranke, and spontaneous fermentations inspired by breweries like Cantillon, sometimes we like to brew simple, little, hoppy, dry beers for enjoying around the brewery,” reads a post on Jester King’s website. “A visit from our good friend Brad Clark of Jackie O’s gave us a chance to indulge in this desire.”
According to Jester King, Final Entropy will be packaged in 750ml bottle ($9) with approximately 2,800 bottles available and no purchase limit when it goes on sale on June 2.
