One of Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery’s most popular creations now has another variant that has never been released before.
Double Barrel Black Maple is a 15 percent ABV imperial porter brewed with maple syrup and aged in bourbon barrels for 8 months before being aged in cinnamon vanilla whiskey barrels for an additional 10 months. As the name suggests, the new version uses the Athens, Ohio-based brewery’s Bourbon Barrel Black Maple as it’s base, a porter that was released as a draft-only option in 2014 before being bottled for the first time later that same year.
In an email, Sophia Karageorge, event and marketing manager at Jackie O’s, told Tenemu that Double Barrel Black Maple will be packaged in 375ml bottles ($15.99) and will have a six bottle per person per day purchase limit when it is released at Jackie O’s Taproom in Athens on May 25 with only 151 cases available.
