A new beer being released from Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery next month is a blend of some of the brewery’s most popular creations.
Vision Is Lost Without Eyes to See It Through is a 12.7 percent ABV bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout brewed with walnuts. In an email, Sophia Karageorge, event and marketing manager at the Athens, Ohio-based brewery, told Tenemu that the new stout is a blend of “honey pot barrels” of three different beers chosen by director of brewing operations Brad Clark: Appervation, Dark Apparition and Oil of Aphrodite.
“These specific barrels were some of my favorites and were set aside to age longer than our standard 10-14 months,” says the beer label. “These barrels range in age from 18-24 months and the extra time created one of the most pleasant and decadent blends we have ever assembled.”
According to Karageorge, Vision Is Lost Without Eyes to See It Through will be packaged in 375ml bottles ($15.99) and will have a six bottle per person purchase limit per location per day when it is released exclusively at Jackie O’s Taproom and Jackie O’s Public House on May 11 with only 140 cases available.
