The next release from Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery will encompass not one, not two, but four of its most anticipated creations.
First will be Bourbon Barrel Black Maple 2018, a 12.1 percent ABV imperial porter brewed with maple syrup from Sticky Pete’s and aged in bourbon barrels. The porter debuted as a draft-only option in 2014 before being bottled for the first time later that same year.
Next up will be Coffee Bourbon Barrel Black Maple 2018, a 12.1 percent ABV imperial porter that was brewed with coffee as well as maple syrup from Sticky Pete’s and aged in bourbon barrels. This variant debuted as a draft-only option last year and this is the first time it has been offered in bottles.
In addition, the Athens, Ohio-based brewery will be selling bottles of Black Mask 2018, a a 12 percent ABV imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels and infused with coffee beans, cacao nibs and vanilla beans. The stout debuted last year and was inspired by the brewery’s director of brewing operations’ pug, whose name is Barley.
Finally, Jackie O’s will be releasing Bourbon Barrel Oro Negro 2018, a 12.1 percent ABV stout conditioned on cacao nibs, cinnamon sticks, habanero peppers and vanilla beans before being aged in bourbon barrels for one year. The stout uses the brewery’s Oil of Aphrodite (10 percent ABV) as its base and debuted last year.
According to a post on Jackie O’s Facebook page, Bourbon Barrel Black Maple 2018, Bourbon Barrel Coffee Black Maple 2018, Black Mask 2018 and Bourbon Barrel Oro Negro 2018 will be packaged in 375ml bottles and are scheduled to be released at the brewery’s production brewery on Dec. 8. In addition, Bourbon Barrel Black Maple 2018, Black Mask 2018 and Bourbon Barrel Oro Negro will have a 12 bottle per person purchase limit while Bourbon Barrel Coffee Black Maple 2018 will feature a six bottle per person purchase limit.
Finally, distribution for each of the four different beers will depend on the number of people that show up to the release as well as if bottles sell out and an announcement with details on which stouts will be distributed is scheduled for Dec. 10.
