Two of Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery’s most anticipated annual creations will be released this weekend.
The first beer is Bourbon Barrel Black Maple 2017, a 12.1 percent ABV imperial porter brewed with maple syrup from Sticky Pete’s and aged in bourbon barrels for 10 months. The porter debuted as a draft-only option in 2014 before being bottled for the first time later that same year.
In addition, the Athens, Ohio-based brewery will be releasing Vanilla Bourbon Barrel Black Maple 2017, a 12.1 percent ABV imperial porter that was also with maple syrup from Sticky Pete’s and aged in bourbon barrels for 10 months, but was also conditioned on a “generous helping” of vanilla beans for one week before being bottled.
According to a post on Jackie O’s Instagram page, both Bourbon Barrel Black Maple 2017 and Vanilla Bourbon Barrel Black Maple 2017 will be packaged in 375ml bottles ($11.99) and will have a 12 bottle per person per day purchase limit when it is released at both the Taproom and the Public House on Oct. 20. In addition, both beers will be sent to retailers in the brewery’s distribution network.
