According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery is working on releasing Dark Apparition Reserve 2020, a 13.2 percent ABV Russian imperial stout that was aged in bourbon barrels and conditioned on almonds, cacao nibs and vanilla beans before being packaged in 375ml bottles.

As the name suggests, the stout uses the Athens, Ohio-based brewery’s Dark Apparition (10 percent ABV) as its base, a beer that debuted in 2008.

The Athens, Ohio-based brewery has released at least one Dark Apparition variant with almonds in the past, namely Almond Bourbon Barrel, an 11 percent ABV Russian imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels and conditioned on toasted almonds, hazelnuts and pecans that was released as a draft-only option.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
