One of J. Wakefield Brewing’s most popular sour creations is returning this week and is being released alongside three other beers.
DFPF—or Dragon Fruit Passion Fruit—is a 7 percent ABV Berliner weisse-style ale brewed with dragon fruit and passion fruit that was first sold as a draft-only option in 2012. The last incarnation was released on Feb. 4, 2017, once again the newest version will be packaged in 750ml bottles priced at $20 each.
In addition, the Miami-based brewery will be releasing the latest version of Big Poppa, a 12 percent ABV imperial stout with coffee, coconut, and vanilla packaged in 750ml bottles ($25.) The stout is a collaboration between J. Wakefield, Mostra Coffee and Kaneohe, Hawaii-based Inu Island Ales and was last released in June 2017.
Third on the list will be Harbinger, a 12 percent ABV imperial sweet stout brewed with fresh hazelnut coffee that will be packaged in 750ml bottles priced at $35 each.
Finally, J. Wakefield will be releasing Mount Stoutmore, a 12 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with Hacienda La Esmeralda coffee and Reunion Island bourbon vanilla beans. The stout was brewed in collaboration with three different breweries: Horus Aged Ales in Oceanside, Calif., Angry Chair Brewing in Tampa and Bottle Logic Brewing in Anaheim. It is packaged in 750ml bottles priced at $35 each.
According to a post on the brewery’s Facebook page, all four beers will be released on March 17 with purchase limits to be determined.
