A new series being released by Hudson Valley Brewery this weekend encompasses not one, not two, but three distinctly different beers.

The three beers make up The Gemheart Cycle Series: The Map, a seven percent ABV sour IPA brewed with raw wheat, malted oats and Azacca and Mosaic hops as well as extra milk sugar, lemon purée and black lava salt; The Territory, a seven percent ABV sour IPA brewed with raw wheat, malted oats and Mosaic hops as well as milk sugar, rhubarb, lemon purée and elderberries; and Gemheart, an eight percent ABV sour double IPA brewed with raw wheat, malted oats and Azacca and Simcoe hops as well as milk sugar, black currants, lemon purée and rooibos tea.

According to a post on Hudson’s Valley’s website, all three sour IPAs will be packaged in four-packs of 16-ounce cans ($20) when they are released on Feb. 2. Each beer will have a one case per person purchase limit to start, although that may be lowered after the first 100 people depending on turnout.
