This weekend, Hoppin’ Frog Brewing Co. is adding another D.O.R.I.S. variant to its lineup.
The new beer is Rocky Mountain Barrel-Aged D.O.R.I.S., a 10.5 percent ABV stout that has been aged in “very special Colorado whiskey barrels.” The stout uses the Akron, Ohio-based brewery’s D.O.R.I.S. The Destroyer Double Oatmeal-Imperial Stout (10.5 percent ABV) which was first released in 2010.
“More assertive than our standard Bourbon Barrel-Aged D.O.R.I.S. Stout, this rare version is a testament to our hard work and dedication in bringing our customers the very best,” reads a press release.
This is the second release in Hoppin’ Frog’s Rocky Mountain Barrel-Aged Series, following Rocky Mountain Barrel Aged B.O.R.I.S. The Crusher (9.4 percent ABV), which was released earlier this year.
According to a press release, Rocky Mountain Barrel-Aged D.O.R.I.S. is packaged in 22-ounce bottles and will be available for purchase at the brewery on May 14.
