Hill Farmstead Brewery’s winter porter is returning this week.
Twilight of the Idols is a 7.5 percent ABV porter brewed with “a touch” of locally roasted coffee and cinnamon before aging it on “a blend of select vanilla beans.” The beer was first released in 2010, with the last release coming in 2014.

“Originally conceived with a friend in 2009 while brewing in Denmark, the name of this annual release is inspired by the title of one of the last texts written by one of our philosophical idols, Friedrich Nietzsche,” explains a post on the Greensboro, Vt.-based brewery’s Facebook page.
According to a post on Hill Farmstead’s Facebook page, the newest incarnation of Twilight of the Idols is packaged in 500ml bottles ($9) and will have a six bottle per person limit when it goes on sale Nov. 25.
