A new variant of a popular Hill Farmstead Brewery ale being released Wednesday might sound a bit familiar to fans.
Flora Raspberry, Cherry and Northern Kiwi is a farmstead wheat ale aged in oak wine barrels with hand-picked, Vermont-grown Montmorency cherries, raspberries, and northern kiwis. The new wheat saison uses the the Greensboro Bend, Vt.-based brewery’s Florence (5 percent ABV) as its base before it is aged in wine barrels.
Hill Farmstead released a very similar beer using the same ingredients named Flora Cherry, Raspberry and Northern Kiwi last year, but a post on the brewery’s Instagram account indicates that it is brewed with the “same fruits but different blend and ratios.”
According to a post on its website, Flora Cherry, Raspberry and Northern Kiwi will be packaged in 375ml bottles ($20) with a one bottle per person purchase limit when it is released at the brewery on April 24.
