Next week will bring the newest incarnation of Hill Farmstead Brewery’s beer named after one of Søren Kierkegaard’s most influential works.

The Greensboro, Vt.-based brewery will be releasing Barrel-Aged Fear & Trembling 2017, a 9 percent ABV Baltic-style porter that was brewed with lager yeast and malt that was smoked “on site in our own smoker using wood from the surrounding forests”  before being aged in both bourbon and wine barrels. The label indicates that the porter was bottled on Dec. 6, 2016.

According to a post on Hill Farmstead’s website, Barrel-Aged Fear & Trembling 2017 is packaged in 500ml bottles ($20) and will have a purchase limit of four bottles per person when it goes on sale at the brewery Sept. 27.
