On Wednesday, Hill Farmstead Brewery will debut its latest ale named Farmer Wave.
Farmer Wave is a saison brewed with oats, lime zest, lime juice and salt. The brew and name originated with the rural truck driver gesture, strangers wave to each other with a raised index finger, an acknowledge a passing moment of friendship. Brewing it was also a reason for friends at the brewery and Good Life Provisions, a beer and wine distributor, to meet up and brew a beer together.
As with all beers this Greensboro Bend, Vt. brewery produces, this ale will be sold in extremely limited quantities of 750ml bottles ($10) at the brewery’s retail shop with a limit of four bottles per person. In addition, a few accounts in Nebraska, where Good Life Provisions is based will also see some bottles.
