A popular ale from Hill Farmstead Brewery is returning this week, but in a different form than fans have come to expect.

Anna: Motueka is a 6.5 percent ABV “Farmstead® honey ale” brewed with raw Vermont wildflower honey and aged in foudres. However, while the base ale is the same as the beer that was first released by the Greensboro, Vt.-based brewery in 2010, this version has been dry-hopped with Motueka hops grown by Freestyle Farms in Upper Moutere, New Zealand.

The new incarnation of the popular ale will be the first release in “an ongoing, playful exploration of the interaction” between a number of the brewery’s Farmstead® ales that will be combined with different hops.

According to a post on Hill Farmstead’s website, Anna: Motueka will be packaged in 375ml bottles ($8) and will have a one bottle limit per person purchase limit when it goes on sale on May 25.
