This month Highland Brewing Co. is releasing a collaborative beer with the band Nathaniel Ratliff & The Night Sweats called Half Yüschz.
According to the brewery’s Instagram, this Czech-style Pilsner is named after “a yüschz tradition,” which involves “the consumption of a shot of liquor and a beer; thus, a half yüschz is the consumption of just the beer.”
The Ashville, N.C.-based brewery will release the collaboration on draft and in 6-packs of 12-ounce cans on May 10. When asked, the brewery stated that there are no purchase limits at this time and that individual cans will be available on May 11 when the band will be playing a concert at the brewery.
On the brewery’s Facebook it states that $1 per beer will be donated to The Marigold Project, which is a foundation that addresses issues of economic and social justice and was established by Nathaniel Rateliff.
