According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Heavy Seas Beer is working on releasing 25, a 15.5 percent ABV strong ale aged in bourbon barrels before being transferred to rye barrels in order to “add incredible complexity.” The new strong ale will be packaged in 16-ounce cans.

As the name of the beer suggests, it is being release to commemorate the Baltimore-based brewery’s 25th anniversary in business after opening in 1995.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
