Heavy Seas Beer will be commemorating a major milestone by producing a limited beer.

The new release from the Baltimore, Md.-based brewery will be 20 Year Storm, a 10 percent ABV imperial extra special bitter brewed with warrior, UK goldings, UK fuggles, cascade and centennial hops as well as 2-row, crystal, imported British optic, caramalt and chocolate malts.

In addition, the limited release has local Domino brown sugar added and it will be aged in bourbon barrels for “approximately 75 days.” According to the brewery, 20 Year Storm is a “throwback” to its Winter Storm Ale extra special bitter (7.5 percent ABV) which was first released in 2004, although they are different beers.

According to Fred Crudder, Heavy Seas marketing director, 20 Year Storm will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles and will be released on Dec. 7.
