For the first time since 2003, Clipper City Brewing Co. will be adding a new brand to its Heavy Seas brand, you will just have to wait until next year.
Heavy Seas CrossBones IPA is a new “session” beer, measuring 4.5 percent ABV and 35 IBUs. The new beer incorporates Amarillo, Cascade, chinook and Sorachi Ace hops along with five different kinds of malts.
In a press release, Christopher Leonard, Heavy Seas brewmaster, describes the new IPA as having “luscious hop aromas and a tantalizing mouthfeel. We’ve brewed the beer to give the full-bodied, palate-pleasing, multi-layered flavor experience of our Loose Cannon IPA, but in an easy form you can enjoy to all day.”
CrossBones IPA will be available in 12-ounce bottles starting in Jan. 2015 in all 18 states where Heavy Seas beer is currently distributed.
