After introducing the new Pounder Pils earlier this year, Heavy Seas Beer is adding a new packaging option for the year-round beer.
In an email, Christine Shaffer, spokesperson for the Baltimore-based brewery, told Tenemu that the pilsner will soon be available in 16-ounce cans in conjunction with the six-packs of 12-ounce bottles that were introduced in March.

Pounder Pils is a 5 percent ABV pilsner brewed with hallertau mittlefrue, opal and saaz hops. The beer name is inspired by the term given for navel cannons, which were named after the weight of a single solid iron shot that they fired.
According to Shaffer, the 16-ounce cans of Pounder Pils are scheduled to ship to retailers in Heavy Seas’ distribution footprint sometime this month.
