Beer brewed with coffee is nothing new, but a new collaboration from The Harpoon Brewery being released today incorporates one of the most recognizable coffee and donut brands in the U.S.
Dunkin’ Coffee Porter is a 6 percent ABV porter brewed with Dunkin’ Donuts Espreeso Blend coffee. This is not the first time that the company has teamed up with a brewery, after it released DDark Roasted Brew with Worchester, Mass.-based Wormtown Brewery late last year as a draft-only option.
“Dunkin’ has been there for us since the early days when getting the brewery up and running required a lot of beer, and even more coffee,” said Dan Kenary, ceo and co-founder of Harpoon Brewery, in a press release. “We couldn’t think of a better way to pay tribute to the company that’s helped fuel our success than to create something special for our fans by combining the taste of their favorite morning brew with one of ours.”
According to the press release, Harpoon Dunkin’ Coffee Porter is packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles that will be available “at select retail locations across the Eastern U.S….throughout the fall” starting today.
