Half Acre Beer Co.’s Battle of Trenton is now available in bottles.
According to a post on Half Acre’s website, Trenton is, “an amber common aged nine months in third use bourbon barrels, fermented with our house ale yeast and mixed culture, before a twelve hour peach tea and fresh mint steep.”
In previous years this brew was also referred to as a Kentucky Common also or just common, a once-popular style of ale from the 1850’s until prohibition, which is basically a dark version of an American cream ale.
Battle of Trenton will be available today at both the Chicago-based brewery’s Lincoln and Balmoral location. Pricing is $19.99 per 750ml bottle, limits are three per person.
