San Diego-based Green Flash Brewing Co. recently announced it is releasing Lustrous Frumento with Coffee.

Lustrous Frumento with Coffee is the first release in the Barrelmaster’s Reserve Series.

It is a black ale aged in Old Forrester bourbon barrels with an ABV of 13.5 percent packaged in 750ml cork-finished bottles. The beer spent 30 months in barrels before being blended with cold brew coffee from Mostra Coffee, which is also based in San Diego.

The Barrelmaster’s Reserve Series is “an experimental series of extremely limited edition, barrel-aged beers from Cellar 3.” The Barrelmaster’s Reserve Series beers will all be one-offs in batch sizes ranging from 600 to 1,800 bottles, only available for a single day at the Cellar 3 Taproom.

Lustrous Frumento with Coffee will be released Saturday, May 21 at the Cellar 3 Anniversary Party. The event goes from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will have rare beer tappings, interactive art, live music and DJing, screen printing, food, and an art show.

Only 600 bottles are available and a bottle limit of two per person.
