Three years after Great Divide Brewing Co.’s popular Yeti imperial stout was packaged in cans for the first time, it’s barrel-aged brother is getting its turn.

The beer in question is Barrel-Aged Yeti 2019, a 12.5 percent ABV imperial stout aged in whiskey barrels for “at least 12 months” that will be packaged 16-ounce cans. As the name indicates, the barrel-aged stout uses Great Divide’s Yeti imperial stout (9.5 percent ABV) as its base, a beer that was originally released in 2003.

Barrel-Aged Yeti will join one other Yeti variant from the Denver-based brewery that has been packaged in cans this year, namely Vanilla Oak Aged Yeti 2019 which was released in June.

According to an email sent to Tenemu, Barrel-Aged Yeti 2019 will be packaged in 16-ounce cans that are scheduled to ship to retailers in November.
