A variant of Great Divide Brewing Co.’s popular Yeti imperial stout that debuted last year is returning just in time for summer.

The beer in question is Vanilla Oak Aged Yeti 2019, a 9.5 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with vanilla and aged in both French and American oak barrels. The stout was first released in bottles last year and uses the Denver-based brewery’s Yeti imperial stout (9.5 percent ABV) as its base, a beer that was originally released in 2003.

Oak-Aged Vanilla Yeti will join three other Yeti variants being released this year:

  • Chai Yeti — 22-ounce bottles available in January
  • Chocolate Cherry Yeti — 22-ounce bottles available from February-May
  • Oak-Aged Vanilla Yeti 2019 — 19.2-ounce cans available from June-September
  • Smores Yeti — 22-ounce bottles available from October-December

Although Great Divide’s 2019 release calendar shows that the beer will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles, a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) indicates that Vanilla Oak Aged Yeti 2019 will be packaged 19.2-ounce cans and is scheduled to be shipped to retailers in June.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
