There will soon be a new packaging option for Goose Island Beer Co.’s Four Star Pils.
According to filings with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the Chicago, Ill.-based brewery will be introducing both 12-ounce and 16-ounce cans for the year-round pilsner, joining the 12-ounce bottles that are already available. The name of beer is a direct reference to the four stars that adorn the city of Chicago’s flag.
Originally introduced in August, the 5.1 percent ABV pilsner is brewed with equinox, meridian and Mt. Hood hops as well as 2-row and special pale malts.
An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
