This November, a small number of lucky fans of Goose Island Beer Co. will have the chance to try multiple versions of its Bourbon County Brand Stout weeks earlier than the rest of the country.
On Monday, the Chicago-based brewery will be opening an online lottery for tickets to Proprietor’s Day 2019, an event that will allow a select few to purchase bottle of at least two different incarnations of its popular stout: Bourbon County Proprietor’s Bourbon County Brand Stout 2019, an imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels and conditioned on toasted pecans, coconut, cocoa, and vanilla; and Bourbon County Café de Olla Stout 2019, an imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels and brewed with coffee beans and cold brew coffee sourced from Intelligentsia Coffee as well as additions of of cassia bark, orange peel and panela sugar.
In addition, this year’s event will feature all eight versions of Bourbon County Brand Stout 2019 on tap as well as a market filled with local Chicago-based companies selling their “unique goods made with or inspired by Bourbon County Stout.”
Starting on Sept. 30 at 12 a.m. CST, fans can enter the lottery once daily online until 11:59 p.m. CST on Oct. 7 at the Goose Island Proprietor’s Day 2019 website, with winners randomly chosen and notified on Oct. 9. Winners will then have up to 48 hours to claim and purchase their tickets for $30 and attendees will be able to purchase their bottles for an additional $75 at the event.
According to the Goose Island website, winners of the tickets to Proprietor’s Day 2019 taking place at the Goose Island brewery in Chicago will receive:
