As has been the case since 2017, there will be an official beer for the annual Mo Pop Festival, but this year’s version is from a different brewery than in years past.
According to a label filed with Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), that brewery will be Goose Island Beer Co., who will be releasing Mo Pop 2019 Festipale Ale, a 5.4 percent ABV pale ale packaged in 16-ounce cans.
Mo Pop is an annual indie music festival taking place at West Riverfront Park in Detroit that debuted in 2010 and draws more than 30,000 attendees.
Griffin Claw Brewing Co. had released the official beer of the festival in both 2017 and 2018 named Mo Pop Festipale Ale and Mo Pop Festival Golden Ale respectively. This years’s event takes place from July 27-July 28.
An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not returned.
