The waiting has come to an end.

Today on Instagram, Goose Island announced the variant choices for this year’s Bourbon County Brand Stout releases. This year there will be two major changes compared to years past:  there are six different versions of the popular beer as opposed to just five, and all versions of the beer will be released exclusively in 500ml bottles instead of the 12-ounce and 22-ounce bottles that have been the standard for years.

There will be six different versions of Bourbon County Brand Stout for 2015: Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout, which is made with Intelligentsia’s Los Delirios coffee sourced from Nicaragua; Bourbon County Brand Regal Rye Stout, which is brewed with blackberries, Luxardo candied cherries, fresh sour cherries and sea salt before being aged in rye whisky barrels; Proprietor’s Bourbon County Brand Stout, which is brewed with with maple syrup aged in bourbon barrels, toasted pecans and guajillo peppers; and Goose Island Rare Bourbon County Brand Stout, which has been aged for two years in 35-year-old Heaven Hill whiskey barrels.

Five of the six incarnations of this year’s Bourbon County Brand Stout will be available nationwide starting on the day after Thanksgiving, which this year falls on Nov. 27, but as in years past, Proprietor’s Bourbon County Brand Stout will be exclusively available in Chicago, Ill.
