According to a labels filed with Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Goose Island Beer Co. will be releasing Fulton Street Blend (5.5 percent ABV) as the final beer in the Chicago-based brewery’s Fulton & Wood Series for 2016. A similar beer named Fulton St. Blend (5.5 percent ABV) was released last year, and the newest incarnation is a 5.5 percent ABV golden ale aged on coffee beans, but has a slightly higher 30 IBUs compared to 20 IBUs in the original release.
This will be the latest addition to Goose Island’s Fulton & Wood Series, which is made up of original beer recipes that are produced in relatively small batches. The name comes from the location of Goose Island’s original brewery, which is located at the corners of W. Fulton Street and N. Wood Street in Chicago.
There have been three previous releases in the Fulton & Wood Series this year: Fassinator (8 percent ABV) was released on March 31, while Bee Squad (8 percent ABV) was released on June 22, both exclusively on draft, while Caution Tape (4 percent ABV) was released in 12-ounce bottles in June.
Fulton Street Blend will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
