Goose Island Beer Co.’s next Fulton & Wood release was brewed to help save the bees.

The Chicago-based brewery will be releasing Bee Squad, an 8 percent bier de miel-syle saison brewed with honey and apricots. The brewery said 100 percent of the ticket sales from the release event will be donated to the Chicago Honey Co-op Training Center, which was founded “as a way to expand the educational efforts begun by Chicago Honey Co-op,” including beekeeping education and training.

Goose Island Fulton & Wood Bee Squad 2

This will be the latest addition to Goose Island’s Fulton & Wood Series, which is made up of original beer recipes that are produced in relatively small batches. The name comes from the location of Goose Island’s original brewery, which is located at the corners of W. Fulton Street and N. Wood Street in Chicago.

According to Goose Island, Bee Squad will be a draft-only release that will be available for the first time during an event being held at The J. Parker restaurant in Chicago on June 22.
