A new series from Goose Island Beer Co. is getting another addition.
The new beer is Cooper Project No. 3: Barrel-Aged Porter, a porter brewed with lactose that has been aged in bourbon barrels for three months. As the name indicates, this will be the third release in the Chicago-based brewery’s Cooper Project, which is made up exclusively of barrel-aged beers and includes Cooper Project No.1: Barrel-Aged Scotch Ale and Cooper Project No.2: Barrel-Aged Blonde Doppelbock.
According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Cooper Project No. 3: Barrel-Aged Porter will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
