A fan favorite of Funky Buddha Brewery is inspired by a popular breakfast combination and is available in smaller bottles for the first time.

The Oakland Park, Fla.-based brewery is shipping bottles of its French Toast, an 8.8 percent ABV double brown ale brewed with cinnamon and maple syrup. The ale was first released in 2014 as a draft-only option and was moved to 22-ounce bottles in 2016.

French Toast is a member of seasonal releases named the Goodness Series, which will include “new experiment beers along with a couple highly-acclaimed favorites.” Each beer in the series is released in three-month intervals packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles:

  • Huki Idol Tropical IPA (8 percent ABV) — double IPA brewed with passionfruit and lime juice and dry-hopped with Mosaic hops and real mint — February-May
  • Key Lime Pie Tart (5 percent ABV) — tart wheat ale brewed with key lime juice and vanilla — May-August
  • Sticky Treats (5.1 percent ABV) — rice blonde ale with vanilla — August-November
  • French Toast (8.8 percent ABV) — double brown ale brewed with maple syrup and cinnamon — November-February 2019

According to a post on Funky Buddha Instagram page, French Toast 2018 is packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles that are shipping to retailers across the brewery’s distribution network now.
