A new beer from Funky Buddha Brewery was inspired by a classic cocktail.

Margarita Gose is an 11 percent ABV gose-style ale brewed with agave nectar, lime juice and sea salt before being aged in Casa Noble Anejo tequila barrels. The new beer is a member of the Oakland Park, Fla.-based brewery’s Mixology Series, which seeks to “recreate classic cocktails by using alternate fermentables, natural ingredients, and barrel-aging techniques.”

According to a post on Funky Buddha’s website, Margarita Gose will be packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles ($14.99) that are scheduled to begin shipping to retailers across the brewery’s distribution network in May.
