This month, Funky Buddha Brewery is shipping a brand new beer that also happens to be the debut release in a brand new series.

Huki Idol is a “tropical double IPA” brewed with passionfruit and lime juices before being dry-hopped with Mosaic hops and  mint. The new IPA is the first release in the Oakland Park, Fla.-based brewery’s Goodness Series, which will include “new experiment beers along with a couple highly-acclaimed favorites” that will be released in three-month intervals.

There will be four different releases in the Goodness Series this year:

  • Huki Idol Tropical IPA — double IPA brewed with passionfruit and lime juice and dry-hopped with Mosaic hops and real mint — February-April
  • Key Lime Pie Tart — tart wheat ale brewed with key lime juice and vanilla — May-July
  • Sticky Treats — rice blonde ale with vanilla — August-October
  • French Toast — double brown ale brewed with maple syrup and cinnamon — November-January 2019

According to Funky Buddha’s 2018 release calendar, Huki Idol Tropical IPA will be packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles that will be shipped to retailers starting this month and will be available through April.
