Next month, Funky Buddha Brewery will be releasing the first creation in a brand new series of stouts.
The first beer will be Void Shaker, an 11 percent ABV imperial stout that has been aged in barrels that previously held High West Distillery bourbon.
The new stout will be the debut release in a brand new series of barrel-aged stouts scheduled for this year, all of which will be aged in High West Distillery bourbon barrels. In a social media post, the Oakland Park, Fla.-based brewery indicated that there would be additional variants released “throughout the year”, including versions conditioned on coffee and vanilla.
According to a post on Funky Buddha’s Instagram page, Void Shaker Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout will be packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles that are scheduled to ship to retailers “across Florida starting next month.”
