Next month, Funky Buddha Brewery will be shipping the newest incarnation of its creation that was inspired by the flavors of a popular breakfast choice.
The Oakland Park, Fla.-based brewery will be shipping bottles of its French Toast 2020, an 8.8 percent ABV double brown ale brewed with cinnamon and maple syrup. The ale was first released in 2014 as a draft-only option and was moved to 22-ounce bottles in 2016 before being packaged in 12-ounce bottles for the first time in 2018.
French Toast is a member of Funky Buddha’s seasonal releases named the Goodness Series, which includes “new experiment beers along with a couple highly-acclaimed favorites” that are released in three-month intervals.
According to a post on Funky Buddha’s website, French Toast Double Brown Ale 2020 is packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles that are scheduled to begin shipping to retailers across the brewery’s distribution network on April 6. In addition, due to the tap room being temporarily closed because of coronavirus concerns, there will not be a tap room release party.
