A new bottled beer by Funky Buddha Brewery is brewed to remind you of the Brazilian cocktail.

Next month, Funky Buddha will release Rum Barrel-Aged Batida, a 13.2 percent ABV imperial cream ale aged in rum barrels with coconut and passion fruit added. Batida was aged in barrels for about a year according to Mitchell Wilkison of Funky Buddha.

Rum Barrel-Aged Batida will join the Overland Park, Fla.-based brewery’s The Living Barrel Series, which is made up of beers aged in different types of barrels and include other creations as The Love Below and Mexican Coffee.

According to the brewery, this is the first time this beer has been bottled. It’s the same recipe as last summer’s draft-only offering, just like last year this is only available in its taproom on May 11.
