Funky Buddha Brewery is adding a smaller packaging option to one of its beers.
According to filings with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the Oakland Park, Fla.-based brewery will be packaging Nib Smuggler in 12-ounce bottles. The 6.3 percent ABV “chocolate milk porter” is brewed with cocoa, cocoa nibs and Madagascar vanilla beans, and is a seasonal release available from December through February.
“This is the finest, purest black,” reads the beer label. “Cocoa straight from the source: the rugged mountains of Brazil, where chocolate is life. We smuggled these beans back to our brewhouse, where they were blended with creamy milk porter and fragrant Madagascar vanilla beans. Get cocoa’d up.”
Nib Smuggler was first released as a draft-only option in 2011 before being bottled in 22-ounce bottles for the first time last year. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
