Next month, Funky Buddha Brewery is celebrating its sixth anniversary by selling three different previously released creations in a new packaging option.
The first beer being released is Bourbon Barrel-Aged Dread Pirate Roberts, a 12 percent ABV barrel aged imperial stout brewed with raspberry, chocolate and coconut before being aged for months in bourbon barrels. Although this stout has been packaged in 22-ounce bottles in the past, this will be the first time being sold in single 16-ounce cans ($14) with a limit of three per person.
Next up will be Tart Shake, a 4.5 percent ABV “hazy, sour, milkshake” IPA brewed with Citra hops and blended with black currants, passion fruit, vanilla and lactose sugar. The IPA will be packaged in four-packs of 16-ounce cans ($15) with a purchase limit of three four-packs per person.
Finally, the brewery will be releasing El Camino Haze, a 7.3 percent ABV New England-style IPA brewed with flaked oats as well as Citra, El Dorado and Mosaic hops. This former draft-only option will be available in four-packs of 16-ounce cans ($15) with a one case per person purchase limit.
According to the Funky Buddha website, cans of Bourbon Barrel-Aged Dread Pirate Roberts, Tart Shake and El Camino Haze are scheduled to be released on June 1 during an event at the brewery.
