Funky Buddha Brewery is adding not one, but two new beers to its Living Barrel Series.
Bourbon Barrel-aged S’mores is an 11 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with cocoa nibs and vanilla before being aged in oak bourbon barrels, while Apple Brandy Barrel-Aged S’Mores is the same beer aged in apple brandy barrels. Bourbon Barrel-aged S’mores has been released as a draft-only option before, although that version was also brewed with graham crackers.
According to labels filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), both Bourbon Barrel-Aged S’Mores and Apple Brandy Barrel-Aged S’Mores will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles and will be part of the Oakland Park, Fla.-based brewery’s Living Barrel Series, which is made up of beers aged in various types of barrels.
