Funkwerks has once again aged its Deceit in rum barrels.
It clocks in at just 9 percent ABV, a bit lower than the 10 percent ABV of the original Rum Barrel Deceit that debuted in 2013. According to the brewery, the beer has notes of “fresh pineapple and a hint of coconut with the complexity of spice and oak.”
Deceit is an 8.5 percent ABV Belgian-style golden ale. The barrel-aged version was bottled on Aug. 11, 2016.
This year Funkwerks produced 24 barrels of Deceit aged in Rum Barrels and is already available in the taproom and in 750ml bottles.
