Funkwerks Brewing has released a beer that was produced in collaboration with Rueben’s Burger Bistro of Boulder, Colo.
According to Brad Lincoln, co-owner of Funkwerks, Brother Rueben’s is a 8.8 percent ABV Belgian-style tripel that incorporates sapphire and magnum hops, along with pils malt and “a little wheat for head.”
“We have been talking with Ruben (sic) (Verplank) for years about doing something fun like this,” said Lincoln in and email to Tenemu. “He has always had a really good palette (sic) and we wanted to build something fun together. He came up to Foco, we did a tasting and developed a recipe. A really fun project.”
Brother Rueben’s is avialable exclusively at both Funkwerks and Brother Rueben’s Bistro, and was released on tap on April 11.
