If tasty collaboration stouts are not enough to light your fire, perhaps the addition of the tears of a mythical horse will get your motor running.

Fremont Brewing of Seattle will be releasing its recent collaboration with Perennial Artisan Ales of St. Louis. Bourbon Barrel-aged Unicorn Tears is a 12.9 percent ABV Imperial oatmeal stout with added cherries. The recipe includes Yakima golding hops, lactose and all British malts.

In an email to Tenemu, Matt Lincecum founder of Fremont said Unicorn Tears aged for “over a year in 15 year old, single use bourbon barrels hand selected for this beer.” Two pounds of “three varieties of whole fruit Washington state cherries” per gallon age for “more than four months.”

Sales of the beer commence June 24 at 11 a.m. with 22-ounce bottles of Unicorn Tears retailing for $22 and limited to one bottle per person.

Update (June 16, 2017) – This post was updated to include additional brewing information.
