The bastard is back.
Founders Brewing Co. has announced that Backwoods Bastard, its 10.2 percent ABV scotch ale aged in bourbon barrels, has already shipped and should be on retailer’s shelves starting “now.”
“It ships as it’s ready so the first batch to be brewed is already on shelves,” reads a post on Founder’s Facebook page. “The final shipment leaves at the end of the month so it will reach all destinations shortly after that.”
Packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles, Backwoods Bastard is one of the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based brewery’s four annual Limited Series releases, which also includes Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) released in April, Devil Dancer triple IPA released in June and Harvest Ale released in October.
