A Founders Brewing Co. creation that originally debuted to benefit an art competition is now getting a wider release.
That beer is Green Zebra, a 4.6 percent ABV gose-style ale brewed with watermelon and sea salt. The ale was released for the first time in August 2017 to benefit ArtPrize, an art competition hosted in the brewery’s hometown of Grand Rapids, Mich.
According to Founders, Green Zebra was originally slotted to return as a Limited Series release, but its success “coupled with the immense popularity of the gose/sour/wild ale styles justified it having greater availability.”
Green Zebra Gose will be packaged in both 15-packs and six-packs of 12-ounce cans that are scheduled to begin shipping to retailers in all 46 states in Founders’ distribution network from April through July.
